An MVP for Clinical Trial Testing (NDA)

Healthcare App
Project Management
Design Sprint

In a 3-week sprint, I led the design of a healthcare mobile app synchronized with a watch. Our objective was to create a detailed application for testing with real patients. While I can't share all the details due to confidentiality agreements, I can provide a brief overview without revealing sensitive information.

My role

As the project coordinator, I had a role in both UX and UI, ensuring the app was prepared for a clinical trial with real users. I prioritized meeting stakeholder requirements, following the schedule, and coordinating with the design team.

The team structure

Our team consisted of three members, including myself and two individuals who were dedicated to UX and UI, while one member focused on product strategy.

The design process

The planning was structured regarding the deliverables based on a 3-week schedule, ensuring tasks were prioritized to achieve the desired goal and deliver a seamless outcome:

Week 1

  • Conducted stakeholder interviews for data gathering.
  • Created an initial user flow for validation.
  • Developed wireframes for various user scenarios.
  • Designed components following development specifications.

Week 2

  • Explored design options and presented moodboards.
  • Developed mid/high fidelity designs incorporating chosen elements.
  • Incorporated stakeholder feedback and made design adjustments.

Week 3

  • Prepared a comprehensive handoff file with developer notes.
  • Presented final handoff to stakeholders' developers.
  • Held an internal team retrospective for process improvement.

Challenges & Lessons Learned

  • Working within a sprint-based schedule necessitated an agile mindset and flexibility.
  • Collaborating with a diverse team offered fresh perspectives and influenced my approach.
  • Adapting to the specific requirements of developers on the client's side posed unique challenges, demanding flexibility.

About Me

In 2018, I began my career at a Digital Marketing Agency, where my interest in Product Design quickly emerged. Actively seeking growth, I attended meetups, read design books, and participated in hackathons.
